Can You Handle the Test?

Daniel didn’t just resist—he proposed a test. Ten days of clean eating, discipline, and self-denial. It was a short test, but it had lasting results. His physical health, mental clarity, and spiritual insight all improved because he submitted to God over indulgence.

We often want the blessing without the discipline, the overflow without the obedience. But what if your breakthrough is waiting behind a 10-day decision?

Are you willing to test your spirit, your habits, your lifestyle—just for 10 days?

Ask Elohim to help you identify what He’s calling you to lay down. Your body, mind, and spirit will thank you for it.

Reading:

Daniel 1:11–13 (NOG)

11 The chief-of-staff put a supervisor in charge of Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Daniel said to the supervisor, 12 “Please test us for ten days. Give us only vegetables to eat and water to drink. 13 Then compare us to the young men who are eating the king’s rich food. Decide how to treat us on the basis of how we look.”

1 Thessalonians 5:21-23 (NOG)

Instead, test everything. Hold on to what is good. 22 Keep away from every kind of evil. 23 May the God who gives peace make you holy in every way. May he keep your whole being—spirit, soul, and body—blameless when our Lord Yeshua Christ comes.

2 Corinthians 7:1 (NOG)

Since we have these promises, dear friends, we need to cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit and live a holy life in the fear of God.
